    ZSR Big Block Ford longblocks are a full custom build, nothing mass produced or machined/built before being ordered. We have many options available so please contact us for your needs. Like all of our engines, everything is done in-house and the longblock will arrive to you assembled and painted the color of your choice. These can be built for anything from 700hp to 2000hp+


    Why do a ZSR longblock instead of a shortblock? The advantage to going with one of our longblocks over a shortblock is that it takes the guess work out of the engine work for the end user. We set the rocker geometry, determine pushrod length, check piston to valve clearance, determine and use the proper thickness and bore diameter head gaskets, etc. If we do the oil pan as well we set the pickup clearance and install everything for a leak-free result. All of these steps are absolutely critical and it can be a gamble doing it at home for some customers.

    -Clevite H-Series main and rod bearings

    -ARP 12pt A460-specific head studs

    -Cometic A460-specific MLS head gaskets

    -Morel "Ultra" Solid Roller Lifters

    -Trend 3/8" .135" wall pushrods

    -T&D shaft rockers with one piece stands

    -ZSR custom solid roller camshaft on a billet core (spec'd 100% for your combo)

    -Rollmaster Billet timing set w/Torrington bearing 


    Block:

    -Ford Racing A460 block that we fully machine in-house (For More Info Click HERE)


    Pistons:

    -These particular shortblock packages come with a full custom RaceTec 2618 forged piston. After ordering we will contact you to get the specifics on your application, parts, and power-adder. Additional options include gas porting, piston coatings, and tool steel pins. We can do these for N/A, power adder, any fuel, etc


    Rings:

    -Total Seal AP Steel, .043/.043/3mm, Standard tension oil, steel top, napier second


    Crankshafts:

    -Lunati 4340 forged, internal balance crank, 4.300 or 4.500 stroke

    -Callie's Magnum 4340 forged, USA-made, gundrilled mains, 4.300 or 4.500 stroke


    Connecting Rods:

    -Molnar Billet Steel H-Beam w/ARP2000 Bolts, 6.700 Length

    -Callie's Ultra I-Beam Rods, USA-made, ARP2000 bolts, 6.700 Length


    Cylinder Heads (done in-house; not out-of-the-box):

    -Trickflow 340cc A460 Heads w/Ferrea Valves, PAC springs, Titanium Retainers (18 bolt)

    -Trickflow 360cc A460 Heads w/Ferrea Valves, PAC Springs, Titanium Retainers (18 bolt)


    Intakes (INSTALLED):

    -Trickflow A460 R Intake 

    -Trickflow A460 Tunnel Ram (Single Dominator Top)


    Oil Pans (INSTALLED):

    -Moroso rear sump (#20625) oil pan, Moroso Pickup, Kaase Aluminum oil Pump, ARP Pump Shaft, Ford Racing One-Piece Pan Gasket, Allstar Timing Cover. Please call for other pan options
